Betty Curse- Hear Lies Betty Curse

Reviewed by Luke Seagrave

Betty Curse’s debut album ‘Hear Lies Betty Curse’ is a strangely vibrant, poppy bounce along album, which is opposite to what you would expect from someone who has a gothic image.

This album is not a traditional gothic album, which makes you want to kill yourself through depression after listening to it. If anything I would label ‘Hear Lies Betty Curse’ as a goth-pop album.

This album is full of funky riffs, and Betty’s vocals are packed full of energy and youthfulness, which makes a refreshing change. This is one of those albums that is enjoyable from the opening track ‘God This Hurts’ all the way through to the dying notes of the final track ‘Rot In Heaven.’

This could easily be one of the best albums of the year!! An unexpectedly-stunning album.
