Andrew W.K- The Wolf

Reviewed by Luke Seagrave

‘The Wolf’ is Andrew W.K`s follow up to his previous album ‘I Get Wet’.

The tracks are typical Andrew W.K, enjoying life, having fun, throughout the entire album you can tell A.W.K is one of those rare musicians who genuinely enjoys playing music.

In comparison to ‘I Get Wet’ the tempo is a little slower this time around, and instead of mentioning the word party in quite a few of the song titles on the last album, this time the word party only appears once in a song title- ‘Long Live The Party’

Despite a slower tempo, the production is a lot bigger on ‘The Wolf’. There is the occasional use of melodic pianos being entwined into a wall of screaming guitars like on ‘The Song’.

‘The Wolf’ is packed full of entertaining rock tracks which show Andrew W.K`s sensitive side, but I personally enjoyed listening to ‘I Get Wet’ more than ‘The Wolf’
