Bell X1- Flock

Reviewed by Luke Seagrave

Album opener ‘Reacharound’ has a winding intro which leads you into a fantastic tap along rock song. Bell X1 could have probably just done an entire album of these songs and it will still have been enjoyable to listen to, thankfully they decided to vary the types of songs they do and the second track ‘Flame’ is more of a 70’s clap along disco track which instantly makes you want to get up and dance.

This album is full of songs that are varied enough to keep you entertained, and Bell X1 are quite possible one of only a handful of bands able to pull off different styles without it being detrimental to their sound.

Even the last track on the album ‘Lamposts’ is an incredibly heartfelt song about hurting a person you love rather than letting them go. Probably the best track on the album.

This album is one of those albums that is one hundred percent top quality and you genuinely feel that Bell X1 were more concerned about the quality of the songs rather than how much money they could make from it.

This is a definite must have album!
